Ireland Masters Hockey
Welcome to the website of Ireland Masters Hockey.
Ireland Masters Hockey is all about fun and enjoyment and getting a chance to represent your country at age 40 or over. Our players come from all over Ireland (Ulster, Munster, Leinster, and Connacht) and further afield as well!! We field ladies and men's teams in the over 40s, over 45s, over 50s, and over 55s age groups and have played in Hong Kong, Singapore, all parts of the UK and Ireland against teams from as far away as Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and all the home nations as well.
If you are interested in playing, umpiring, or coaching with us then all we ask is that you are committed and keen, we'll help sort out the skills and fitness.
There is no greater honour that picking up a hockey stick and pulling on that green jersey and getting out there to represent your country so what are you waiting for contact us today and get along to one of our training sessions and who knows it might not be long before you are singing Irelands Call on the astroturf!!!

Being an Ireland Masters hockey player means taking the rough with the smooth, the bad with the good. There will be times to be down but also times to celebrate!!!
We are always needing players, we want to be the best we can be. We are getting closer and closer to competing with all the teams and we want to be the best master's teams in the world. Are we big headed? No, we are just very keen to put our mark on the World Masters hockey scene.
We live, eat, and sleep hockey and we want you to be apart of it. Contact us and find out what it's all about and we promise you will not be disappointed and what better way to extend your hockey career that running out in a green Ireland top and representing your country?

Coaches and managers are always needed for any team to be successful and this is where Ireland Masters needs to recruit more volunteers!!! We need more coaches to help out those few, dedicated and experienced, ones we do have.
Ideally we require an experienced coach to call the plays, help with the training, team selection and travel with the team to all their matches and a manager for each team to make the role of the coach easier and to carry the burden of administration, kit, contact details, travel arrangements and all that goes with being a good manager.
Regardless of age we are sure we would have a place for you so if you would like to get involved, start to really cut your teeth in either management or coaching, are already a dab hand at either we would love to have you on board.

Ireland Masters are very grateful to the umpires, tournament directors, technical officers, judges and all other organising staff that give up their free time to help with the games and tournaments we take part in.
Ireland as a hockey nation has been blessed with more than its fair share of very successful umpires at international level and the Masters both deserve and frequently get the chance to have excellent umpires at their games too.
We are happy to give all umpires a chance to umpire what is effectively an international game and with Ireland hoping to host the 2013 Masters European Cup and ultimately a World Cup in the coming years we need the best we can get.
